Well Child Visits

These visits allow you and your doctor to monitor the progress of your child as they advance from a newborn to a healthy teenager. You and your doctor will be able to see how your child has developed since their last visit. Your child gets their scheduled immunizations at the right stages to help prevent illness. Nutrition is discussed as a key element of preventive care, along with hearing and vision checks. Preventive care will help your child develop into a healthy, happy adult.

ADHD / ADD Treatment

If you suspect or have been advised that your child is having learning difficulties or attention problems in school, we recommend that you first obtain an age-appropriate educational evaluation. Your school may be able to accommodate this evaluation.

Call our office to schedule a consultation with our physician. Prior to the consultation, our triage nursing staff will send parent/teacher questionnaires to be completed. After completion, send the written parent/teacher evaluations to your child’s physician for review prior to your meeting.

Prenatal Care

Even before your baby is born, it’s an excellent idea to establish a trusting partnership with a skilled and experienced pediatrician. For prospective parents a prenatal consultation serves as an opportunity to meet the pediatrician as well as the office team that will be caring for your newborn. It’s also a good time to ask any questions and voice any concerns that you may have about becoming a new parent and caring for your newborn from day one.

Strep Throat

Strep throat is an infection of the throat caused by a bacteria named Group A Streptococcus. Your child may complain of a sore throat, headache and/or fever. It is helpful to try to distinguish between viral and bacterial causes of sore throat. Strep, which is bacterial, can be treated with antibiotics. Viral causes will resolve on their own and do not respond to antibiotics. Symptoms of strep throat should improve within 48-72 hours after your child starts taking an antibiotic.
